The Department of Computer Science at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to begin in August, 2018. This position presents an opportunity to join a vibrant faculty within a growing department that offers four major programs in computing and an interdisciplinary degree in Digital Media. Applicants must have the minimum of a Master's degree in Computer Science or closely related area, with preference given to those candidates that have completed the Ph.D. and have expertise in one of the following areas: Software Engineering, Computer Security, or Data Science. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research, and be willing to occasionally teach a freshmen experience course that is required by the University core curriculum. All faculty members are expected to participate in professional development activities, assist students in their personal and professional development, and participate in university and departmental service as well as faculty governance.

Founded in 1845, Baldwin Wallace University is an independent, coeducational comprehensive institution in the liberal arts tradition and is located 15 miles southwest of downtown Cleveland and just minutes from Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport. Baldwin Wallace enrolls approximately 3,000 full-time undergraduate day students, 250 part-time students in evening and weekend programs, and 900 graduate students.
