The Department of Applied Computer Science at The University of Winnipeg invites outstanding candidates to apply for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.  The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the time of appointment, with a specialization in Computer Security or Gaming.  Gaming applications will only be considered in Game Design and Development, Computer Graphics, Animation or Game Science.

The candidate will be responsible for developing curriculum related to the focus areas.  Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  The successful candidate will share in the administrative responsibilities of the department, play an active role in the advising and supervision of students, and have opportunities to supervise students in the department’s M.Sc. program in Applied Computer Science and Society. 

Subject to budgetary approval, this position will be effective from July 1, 2018. Salary levels will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The selection committee will begin reviewing applications on February 15, 2018 and will continue until the position is filled; full consideration is assured for applications received by February 14, 2018.  Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching and research portfolios, and copies of at most three relevant publications (all documents in PDF).  Candidates should also arrange to have three letters of reference e-mailed directly to:
