Two Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Positions - Rank of Visiting Lecturer
Computer Science Department

The University of Massachusetts Lowell, located about 25 miles northwest of Boston in the high-tech corridor of Massachusetts, is a tier-1 research university with a national reputation in science, engineering and technology.

The Computer Science Department invites applications for two full-time, non-tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of VisitingLecturer to start in the Fall semester of 2017. Primary responsibilities are to provide high quality teaching and service to the department. These positions are renewable annually, 2-years initially.

The Computer Science department has 17 tenured and tenure-track faculty and two full-time lecturers, serving 700+ BS students, 140 MS students, and 94 PhD students. It also offers bioinformatics options at all levels, a robotics minor, and a PhD in computational mathematics, as well as an MS in IT and a BS in IT online programs. The Computer Science faculty has received approximately $6M in the last two years in external research funding from NSF, DOD, NIH, and corporations. The department has six NSF CAREER Award recipients. More information about the department can be found at www.cs.uml.edu.

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline. Experience and demonstrated excellence teaching Computer Science at the undergraduate level is required.
