Visiting Assistant Professor / Visiting Instructor, Computer Science – 0408026

James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for a full-time visiting assistant professor/visiting instructor in the Computer Science department beginning August 2017. This is a 2-year appointment.

The JMU Computer Science department is a dynamic and supportive community with 18 full-time faculty members and approximately 500 undergraduate majors.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in computer science. There will also be support and opportunities to conduct scholarship.

Required qualifications include a minimum of a M.S. in Computer Science or related field, excellence in teaching and a commitment to the liberal arts.

James Madison is a comprehensive public university, with an enrollment of approximately 19,400 undergraduate and 1,800 graduate students, located in Harrisonburg, VA.
