Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems, Tenure Track, Starting September 1, 2019

The AACSB accredited School of Business at Stockton University, invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems starting September 1, 2019. ABD candidates will be considered at the instructor level until the doctoral degree is completed.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Information Systems courses at the undergraduate level, in one or more of the following areas: business intelligence & analytics, database management, enterprise resource planning, IT infrastructure, network administration, or programming. Teaching opportunities also exist in or other Stockton programs, depending on academic credentials and professional experience.
  • Teach, as do all Stockton faculty members, courses in the university's interdisciplinary general studies program as well.
  • Produce high-quality publications in Information Systems or education journals (or related fields) and present peer-reviewed work at appropriate academic conferences.
  • Provide university service
  • Promote and maintain liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners.
  • Demonstrate, through past accomplishments and actions, the ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission.

 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • An earned doctorate in Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Evidence of potential for teaching, research and service in the Information Systems field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related industry work experience
  • Exposure to or experience within the liberal arts
  • Experience with assessment and/or AACSB/ABET accreditation
