Assistant Professor – Tenure-Track

 Primary Responsibilities 

  • Support the Information Systems/Computer Science Programs
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and computer information systems
  • Participate in course and curriculum development
  • Establish a productive research program involving undergraduate and graduate students
  • Advise students and provide service to the department, college, and University

Requirements

Required Qualifications 

  • Ph.D. of ABD (with Ph.D. by August 1, 2019) in computer science, computer information systems, electrical or computer engineering, or a closely-related discipline. (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
  • Demonstrated expertise in information systems/computer science
  • Demonstrated potential for establishing an active research program specializing in information systems/computer science capable of involving both undergraduate and graduate students
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated potential for excellent teaching of courses in computer information systems and computer science at both undergraduate and graduate levels, or relevant industrial experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community
  • Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities

Successful candidates will contribute to the development of innovative curricula and delivery strategies, including traditional, blended and online formats, and participate in initiatives promoting student success, retention and degree completion.
