The Computer Science Program at Landmark College invites applications at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning August 2018. This is a great opportunity for a faculty member interested in project based learning, innovative teaching/learning pedagogy, and developing collaborative student/teacher research projects with neurodiverse students.

Landmark College awarded its first B.S. in Computer Science degrees in 2018. The new faculty member will have the opportunity to shape new courses and the overall direction of the curriculum by delivering courses from a wide range of undergraduate computer science based on experience and interest. The development of new courses in the candidate's area of expertise is encouraged. Applicants with a background and/or interest in embedded systems and robotics are highly desirable.

Requirements

The faculty member will provide scholarship in the field, particularly in terms of research programs that can involve undergraduate students, and will join others in grant proposal development. Familiarity with principles of universal design for instruction and learning, and a demonstrated commitment to continuing growth as an educator is also desired.

QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral degree in computer science or a related field is required (master’s degree considered). A working understanding of the nature of specific learning disabilities and teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable.
