Position Description:
The Department of Computer Science at the University of the Pacific School of Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to start in Fall 2021.
This is a unique opportunity for a faculty position in a great location. University of the Pacific is in central California with quick access to several hubs of technology and science, including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Livermore, and Sacramento.

Basic Qualifications:
Applicants must have a doctorate in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
The primary qualification for this position is a strong interest and demonstrable potential for undergraduate education. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. We will consider applicants from any area of Computer Science. Applicants interested in interdisciplinary fields of study are also encouraged to apply.
Additional Qualifications:
Candidates should also be prepared to contribute to our graduate program leading to the MS in Computer Science, and to sustain a program of academic research.
Physical Requirements:
Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking climbing stairs, bending, stooping and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
