The Opportunity:
The candidate would join the algorithms and complexity group in the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science (LFCS) within the School. The group currently carries out research on various aspects of algorithms and complexity theory, including algorithmic game theory, algorithms for massive graphs, computational complexity, randomised algorithms, approximation algorithms, distributed and network algorithms, and spectral graph theory. The group has close links to several other research groups in the School of Informatics, including databases, machine learning, networks, quantum computing, security and privacy, and verification. It is hoped that the candidate will build further collaborations with other research groups within the School, as well as with the School of Mathematics and other parts of the University.
