Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.


**Day in the Life:**


In this role, you will be responsible for working with an elite team of software professionals. You will be involved in the creation, review, and implementation of new software features and functionality to help engage patients with the Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) mobile platform.


Tasks include:


Working closely with Marketing, Architects, Systems Engineers, Human Factors Engineers, and Program managers to fully understand the architecture and design of the mobile application.


Leverage technical experience and knowledge to identify new features and break them into user stories and tasks for implementation to improve patient experiences.


Design and Support best in class software development tools and coding standards in support of the software development processes.


Work with the leadership team in planning and estimation, tracking detailed schedule estimates for assigned tasks/features and tracking progress.


Proactively work with technical leads and Project Managers to ensure accurate and precise program execution.


Make sound independent technical decisions related to product quality and organizational performance to achieve maximized outcomes.


Supporting and debugging patient reported issues, driving root cause and corrective actions.


Collaborate and coordinate activities with globally distributed teams, ensuring overall product quality and process execution.


Help to drive overall metric and reporting capabilities to accurately summarize and report on product quality.


**Must Have: Minimum Qualifications**


BS in Computer Science, or related Engineering degree


2+ years of experience, Or advanced degree


**Nice to Have**


Experience in mobile application software development for Android and/or iOS


Working knowledge of best in class SCM/Build tools and practices associated with mobile application software development.


Experience/knowledge working in a Test Driven Development organization with proven success in improving software quality through unit test strategies.


Software development experience in product software applications.


Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills, able to articulate concisely clearly and present in front of all levels of the organization


Ability to thrive and deliver on a team of elite software professionals.


Prior Design/test/development experience with FDA controlled medical devices.


Prior experience with delivering best in class globally distributed products.


Ability to learn emerging technologies in mobile space and perform innovative thinking in Mobile application and platform advancement
