Computing and Information Sciences - Multiple Openings for Spring and Fall 2021


The Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications and nominations for the following faculty positions:

  • Lecturer in Software Engineering, Software Engineering Department (5338BR) with ability to teach a range of courses covering basic and advanced topics in software engineering, including: introduction to software engineering, design principles and patterns, design of secure software, enterprise software, concurrent and distributed software, real-time and embedded systems, requirements and architecture, project and process management, and web engineering.
  • Assistant Professor in Computer Science (5337BR) with discipline expertise in any area of computer science that strengthens the department. Successful applicants are expected to contribute to the scholarship of the department and college through externally funded research and through teaching and mentoring of BS, MS, and PhD students.
  • Assistant Professor in Computing Security (5340BR) with research focuses in, but not limited to, privacy, usable security, threats modeling, malware and digital forensics, network and system security, and applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in computing security.

The Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences is the largest of RIT’s nine colleges and has an enrollment of over 3400 undergraduate students and 900 graduate students. The college, with over 160 faculty members, is housed in a modern facility equipped with numerous teaching and research laboratories. The college is home to: the departments of Computer Science, Computing Security, and Software Engineering, the School of Interactive Games and Media, the School of Information, and a college-wide PhD program, providing many opportunities for cooperation and research collaboration within and beyond the college.  The Global Cybersecurity Institute, the newest addition to our facilities, will be opening in Spring 2021.
