Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Opus College of Engineering at Marquette University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the level of associate professor in Microelectronics and/or MEMS/NEMs design and fabrication. This position is supported by the Lafferty Endowed Chair with emphasis on one or more of the following application areas: smart sensors for embedded systems, robotics and autonomous systems; AI and IoT systems; next-generation devices for power electronics. The endowed chair will direct the following key resources: a Class-1000 cleanroom and electronic device fabrication facility, a research space consisting of the Advanced Microsystems Research Laboratory with a Class-100 cleanroom area for testing devices and secondary areas for materials characterization. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline, ability for high-quality research and teaching, and ability to establish a funded research program.
